The Organization of Creating Life

God is truly a magnificent Creator and a master of Organization! While reading The Seven Daughters of Eve, by Bryan Sykes, the following thoughts came to my mind:

- All living creatures, plant, animal and insect alike, contain DNA within their cells. This means that in order to create and sustain life, there must be a means by which it is instructed. The function of reproduction, breathing, digesting, disposing of waste and so forth, are all instructed by that basic unit: The Double Helix, DNA.

- DNA is so simple, containing only 4 nucleotide bases: Adenine (A), Thymine (T), Cytosine (C) & Guanine (G); but depending on the order they appear in the DNA and the amount of DNA in each cell (which is usually manifested by a change in the number of chromosomes), it can code to create things as vastly different as a human being, a bumble bee, or a tomato plant.

Here is the excerpt that got me thinking found on page 27 -28:
"And what is the sequence? It is information pure and simple. DNA doesn't actually do anything itself. It doesn't help you breathe or digest your food. It just instructs other things how to do it. The cellular middle managers which receive the instructions and do the work are, it turns out, the proteins. They might look sophisticated, and they are; but they operate under strict directions from the boardroom, the DNA itself.

Although the complexity of cells, tissues and whole organisms is breathtaking, the way in which the basic DNA instructions are written is astonishingly simple. Like more familiar instruction systems such as language, numbers or computer binary code, what matters is not so much the symbols themselves but the order in which they appear."

This truly goes to show that, "Behold, mine house is a house of ^aorder, saith the Lord God, and not a house of confusion." (Doctrine & Covenants 132: 8)

Everything that God creates, has an order to it.
