Overview of my first novel

I am in the process of writing my first novel, which is titled, "The Council of Menschheit: Arria's Discovery." This will be book 1 of 5 detailing the reformation of the ancient Council of Menschheit. Here is an overview:

It is recorded that in 20,000 BC, humans divided themselves into five tribes. As the tribes grew, they recognized patterns in the strengths and virtues of their people. They were developing certain basic abilities and principles that seemed to be distinct between the tribes. All the tribes used one word to describe these abilities and principles: Their Talan. Ten Primary Talans were discovered by the tribes, with each having strengths in two of them.
For ten millennium the tribes lived in peace, slowly cultivating and perfecting their Primary Talans. The perfection of the Primary would lead to the discovery of the Advanced. Five Advanced Talans were discovered. Talans that would give a person the ability to do great good or great harm to humanity. The Council of Menschheit was created by the five tribes, two individuals from each tribe, to protect all creatures of free will from humans who would use their Advanced Talans for evil.
Only the human race can posses all the Talans. Other races such as the Yowton, the Fairies, the Kappa, the Trolls and the Unicorns, all posses one or two throughout their race, but must rely on the protection of the Council from those who would use them wickedly. But, the Council would not survive to the Meridian of Time.

Now Arria, a nine year old freshman at Neenah High School is led on the adventure of a lifetime when she discovers her Advanced Talan of Time Travel. She travels back to 1936 unknowingly and now must save her grandfather, and learn how to return to her time with her new found knowledge of the Council and the prophecy that it must be restored in modern times.
